| Amethyst is violent-purple
in colour. It is found in a number of cuts like oval,
drop mixed cuts, step cuts etc. Amethyst normally has
good lusture and transparency. The distribution of the
colour, in striking patches and bands is characteristic.
In case of Amethyst, when you see it with a lens, you
will see inclusions and a serious of discontinuous wavy
parallel lines. |
